I’m SOOOO ready for Spring to get here.
I’m ready for flowers, gardening, Spring clothing, and some sunshine! I’m not looking forward to allergy season… but, my readiness for spring is overriding my fear of another sneezing season. In my desire for Spring to get here I decided to create some Spring-like centerpiece items. I used them as decor at the Portland Creative Connection event… now they sit on my diningroom table making me happy all day long. I think these decorations would be cute for any Spring event including Easter dinner, an afternoon May day celebration, or a Mother’s Day brunch.

Spring Centerpiece Details:

  • Burlap square breaks up the white table cloth and gives a rustic feel to the table.
  • Brightly colored carnations go from cheap flower to inexpensive and beautiful arrangement by clustering them together in jam jars.
  • Paper flowers painted with water colors will last long after the carnations are gone! Check out this Pinterest board for faux flower ideas and tutorials.
  • My favorite detail was water colored leaves cut out and glued to real sticks… I think it makes it so whimsical and sweet!
I’ll have some easy DIY posts up in the next couple of weeks to help prep your Spring table for Easter, May day, Mother’s Day, or just the every day!

What are you looking forward to this Spring?

Oh, and don’t forget to add your {Weekend in Review} post to my new Linky party!
I’ll be sharing some of my favorites each week!

  1. That is a lovely centerpiece, and I’m looking forward to your future posts. Heck, I’m lucky if I can get the mail and such off the table, so I need all the help I can get!

    • They would be!!! I’ll be putting up a tutorial before long… I could see really, really LARGE ones for an Alice in Wonderland party! Did you see my Alice and Wonderland Halloween party? I bet you could get some inspiration from that as well!
