As part of my Summer Entertaining Series I’ve asked several of my favorite bloggers to share tips, parties, recipes, and ideas for great Summer parties. Today I’ve got one of my FAVORITE bloggers (and friends!) sharing one of her Summer cocktail recipes. Please welcome Erika from A Tiny Rocket to A Well Crafted Party!
His & Hers Longbeach Lemonades:
Supplies:
- 1 Lemon
- 1 Orange
- 1 Lime
- Jack Daniels
- Vodka
- a Zester
- a Knife
- a Spoon
- 1 Can of San Pellegrino Lemon
- Shaker
- Strainer (optional)
Pour about a half a can of San Pellegrino in the shaker. Zest your Lemon and Orange and make enough zest that makes about a half a teaspoon. Put zest in shaker. Cut your Orange, Lemon and Lime and squeeze into shaker and go easy on the pulp. A great tip in getting the most juice out of your citrus fruit is roll the fruit and put in the microwave for 10 seconds. Now shake your shaker!
For my cocktail I like it with vodka, where as my husband likes whiskey. Add ice to glasses and pour a shot of vodka in one glass and a shot of whiskey in the other. Then from your shaker pour into glasses and stir. It’s light, delicious and perfect for summer time.
Thanks Jenni for having me come and guest post. Can’t wait to hear all about your wonderful vacation.
A BIG thank you to Erika for sending over TWO fun cocktail variations! If you haven’t been to A Tiny Rocket yet then you should definitely pop on over and see Erika’s amazing art work and fun DIY posts.
