As part of my Summer Entertaining Series I’ve asked several of my favorite bloggers to share tips, parties, recipes, and ideas for great Summer parties. Today I’ve got one of my FAVORITE bloggers’ sharing her tips for a First Birthday Photo Booth. Please welcome Lindsay of Life By Lindsay to A Well Crafted Party!
When I started planning my daughters first birthday, I decided to take the risk that every Pacific Northwest Mom does: plan for a birthday party outside!!! Luckily the weather cooperated that day, and we had a full on BBQ in the back yard!
Planning Zane’s Birthday party, I used Pinterest to get ideas and created a Inspiration board to get my thoughts nailed down. It can be so hard to decide what direction to go when planning, especially when you get sucked into the big black hole of Pinterest! I found making an inspiration board helped me to focus. One of my favorite elements to any party is a Photo booth or photo-op area! It brings people together and helps make lasting memories. It can be a conversation starter and can create a fun atmosphere. It can also help to carry the theme of your party into a different area of the house, not to mention in people’s pictures!
Here is my original post on Zane’s first birthday including many more pictures from the PhotoBooth – it was such a fun time with all of our family and friends. It was a day I will never forget.
I am currently working on putting together Zane’s 2nd birthday party for next month – I cant wait to celebrate my little girl!

I am a Midwest girl born and raised, transplanted to Seattle area in 2002 and I am now a Pacific Northwest girl at heart. In 2004 I married the love of my life – we travelled on a whim and enjoyed full freedom until July of 2011 when our lives changed forever for the better – we had our daughter Zane. She is the light of my life! We still travel a lot, but now it is with a stroller, a stuffed bear named “Bear” and a cute little blonde. In my free time, I love to help create lasting memories for people with one-of-a-kind photo booth backdrops.
