Yes, I’m alive. I’m very sorry for not keeping up with posting like I should… it has been a tough few months. I will try to do better at posting, but you may be seeing less of the blog than what I had originally been posting. Thank you for sticking with me and I will try to bring some fun posts to the upcoming months.
Today I wanted to post a few links to some of the things that have been catching my attention lately. While I haven’t had much energy to work on posts or do much of anything, I have spent countless hours on-line swooning over beautiful blogs, parties, clothes and inspirational ideas. So, here is a little taste of the posts getting my attention lately.
So, since I am 17-weeks pregnant I am loving all things “baby” right now.
Here are a few of the *MANY* amazing baby-related posts that have caught my attention:

Sock Monkey Baby Shower from On To Baby
On To Baby is a fairly new, and seriously beautiful, blog brought to the blogging world by the ladies at The Wedding Chicks. The blog has featured a TON of beautiful maternity and newborn photography sessions as well as many different REAL baby showers! This Sock Monkey Baby shower made me smile all day long after seeing it on the blog. I think it would be a great idea for a boy or a girl. Check it out to see some amazing photos by Jackie Wonders Photography.

Sock Monkey Hat by Mimi’s Babies
And, how cute would this little hat be as a gift or prop at a sock monkey party!
Mimi’s Babies is an Etsy store that has fantastic items to buy yourself or your friends for their little ones!
Onesie Shower Activity
I really like the idea of doing a craft or activity instead of a bunch of games at a baby shower. This activity in particular really draws me because it leaves the Mom-To-Be with such fun, fashionable items for the new baby. Check out Bump Smitten’s coverage of the
Wiley Valentine “Little Sweet Pea” shower and check out the Kraft Corner for more info on this awesome activity.
Painting Blocks Activity
Another fun activity featured on Bump Smitten is this awesome “Painting Blocks” activity from 45 Wall Design’s “Vintage Circus” Baby Shower. I LOVE this idea so much! The party looks fantastic and I could just imagine the guests getting really creative making blocks for little Baby Chung!
Crawfish Boil Baby Shower
While I love the beautiful, perfectly planned and detailed parties featured on the many blogs out there this lovely gathering of friends, family and GOOD FOOD just really makes my heart leap. This is what I think Baby Showers should be about (even if they do get dolled up in details)… friends, family and a truly happy spirit of welcoming a new person into everyone’s lives. And, man… I can’t pass up a good Louisiana-style Boil. Check out Bump Smitten’s “Louisiana Crawfish Boil” Baby Shower for all the fun details and pictures.
Mommy in the Making Monday
Every Monday I look forward to opening my reader and seeing the new question posted by Kari from Kari and Nathan Otto’s Blog. Every week she posts a new question about motherhood and her awesome readers post from their experiences. It has been so interesting and influential I have been thinking about doing something similar on my blog. Check out this week’s question,
“What exactly is a ‘mom haircut,’ and do I need one?”
And, because I’m still me (even if I do think of baby most of the time now)…
here are some non-baby related posts that caught my attention:
Honey Wheat Housewarming Party
Swoon…. I literally went back to this post three times the day that it was featured. The theme of Honey and Wheat was detailed throughout this beautiful housewarming party through the food, decor and amazing favors. Check out this
awesome post with fantastic photos and ideas. Oh, and if you plan to throw a housewarming party with this theme PLEASE invite me! 🙂

Rock Star Birthday Party
This amazing birthday party featured over at Hostess with the Mostess really just “Rocks” my socks off. The color combination, decor, paper goods and photography are outrageously awesome and I can’t say enough good things about it. Check out what
Jessica from Modern Moments did for her son’s birthday by following THIS LINK over to Hostess with the Mostess.
Well, thanks for stopping by today and I hope you found a little inspiration from some of these fun posts. I’ve got about a thousand more, but will save those for another day.
I hope to continue posting and even have a couple inspiration boards and real parties in the works for some upcoming posts. Thanks again for sticking with me during these past few months!
I’ll leave you with a little pic of me and my growing bump!
