Stocking Stuffer Gift Ideas for Foodies // A Well Crafted Party

I feel like the stocking stuffer is often overlooked… when it can be the BEST part of Christmas. I like giving people items that they’d love, but would rarely buy themselves. I am a big beliver in making sure stocking stuffers are filled with fun little items that the receiver will actually enjoy. They don’t need to be expensive. They don’t need to be important even. But, they should be thoughtful. I’ve put together a list of ideas that would make for fun stocking stuffer ideas for the Foodie or Home Entertainer in your life.

My Picks for a Foodie-Centered Stocking Stuffers:

This post was not sponsored. I did receive some product to review throughout the year and I chose to include some of those items in this gift guide. Some of the links below are affiliate links.

  • Kombucha Wonder Drink: Brew of pasteurized and raw kombucha, both of which contain naturally occuring acids that can help detoxify and energize. Kombucha Wonder Drink was founded by Steve Lee, co-founder of Stash Tea and Tazo. The Kombucha is available in cans and bottles.
  • Organic Hot Chocolate Mix: I got mine from Whole Foods Market. Hot Chocolate and teas are fantastic things to purchase and split among many stockings.
  • Hello Breath SprayA sweet little breath freshener with no alcohol and cute packaging!
  • Nocciolata Organic Hazelnut SpreadTasty chocolate-hazelnut spread from Italy. The spread is made from certified organic ingredients– absolutely zero palm oil.  Ingredients include dark chocolate from the Antillean Islands, Italian hazelnuts (16%), brown sugar, skim milk and Bourbon vanilla extract. This would be a TREAT in any stocking.
  • Hen House Linens Table Runner: House of Linens sells beautiful fabric tabletop accessories such as napkins, table cloths and runners. Table runners are fun to give to people that love to throw parties because it is an easy to store, inexpensive way to change up the table. I got the Garden Gate Ochre table runner. It is a dark gold ochre color and will look beautiful for the holidays!
  • “Bite Me” Macaroon Bag: This adorable little grocery/tote bag was ordered from RedBubble. RedBubble has a ton of fabulous designs to choose from and you can have several different items made with the design you choose. Don’t need another grocery bag but need NanLawson’s Macaroon design in your life? Perhaps it’ll be better on a T-shirt, throw pillow, or phone cover!
  • Mini Tabasco Sauces– I love the idea of travel-ready condiments. These mini Tabasco Sauces make me so happy. I think these travel salts from Jacobsen Salt Co. would also be a welcome gift for any foodie!
  • Cocktail Napkins – I have an entire container filled with paper goods for parties. I love having a stash of cute cocktail napkins to bring out when needed. These gold Keep Calm and have a Cocktail napkins will be a nice reminder over the crazy holiday season!

How To Shuck an Oyster // A Well Crafted Party

This DIY is brought to you by an awesome recent Oyster and Wine tasting at Whole Foods Market in Portland, Oregon. I learned SO much about oysters…. and, I’ll be sharing little bits between now and New Years because I think Oysters make a fabulous party appetizer. It is decadent, tasty and so out of the everyday that they will make any celebration instantly feel like a fancy party. I was always intimidated by oysters until earlier this year when I found out that they are not only EASY, but also not nearly as expensive as you might think! I recently stopped by to grab 6 oysters and they only cost me $7.80!

Directions:

  1. Buy your choice of oysters. (See my tips below.)
  2. Either have the store shuck them for you or follow the DIY oyster shucking video to shuck your oysters. I highly recommend buying them shucked! Sean from Whole Foods Market said that they will last approximately 18 hours (properly iced) so you can order some up and pick them up on a day of your party.
  3. To serve put on a platter with crushed ice (throw some ice in a food processor and you’re good to go!)
  4. Serve with toppings or simply with lemons and hot sauce.

Holiday Potluck Free Downloads & Printables // A Well Crafted Party

I love, love, love a good paper invitation. However, I’m just like every other busy person out there and sometimes don’t get around to sending the invitations in time and need to get out an evite or Facebook invitation instead. I’d even say that a Facebook inviation is a handy way to enage with guests prior to a party even if you DO send a paper inviation. Gather RSVPs, post sneak peeks, inform guests about parking… you get the idea!

I created a few different versions of holiday potluck invitations and printable recipe cards.
